Allegheny Outfitters has been around since the early 1980s. Our family bought the business in 2006. AO covers day trips on the upper section of the Allegheny River including the area just below the Kinzua Dam.
US Army Corps of Engineers
The US Army Corps of Engineers control the outflow of water from the Kinzua Dam. When you click on their site, scroll down until you find "Upper Allegheny". Clicking on this will give you the most current stage and flow of the Allegheny River. If you scroll further down, you will see "Daily Reservoir Report and Forecast", which will give you the current and expected pool levels and releases for the next three days. A great resource for paddlers on the Allegheny!

Allegheny Guide Service

The Allegheny River, downstream from the Kinzua Dam, yields some of the largest freshwater fish in North America.
DAV Walleye Tournaments
The John Giordano Memorial Tournament is scheduled at the Allegheny Reservoir at Willow Bay on May 17 and 18. The DAV Challenge Tournament will be held at the Allegheny Reservoir at Elijah Run on June 21 and 22. Good luck and good fishing.

Whispering Winds Campground
Family owned campground set in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest, Sheffield, Pennsylvania, with as much wildlife as you can imagine. Buckaloons Campground
Buckaloons Recreation Area rests on the site of a former Indian village, on the banks of the Allegheny River. Over 50 family campsites, two double sites, and one group site, each containing a picnic tables, fire ring, and grassy tent site. There are showers, flush toilets, a pressurized water system, and a dump station.

The portion of the Pennsylvania Wilds that surrounds the Kinzua Resevoir to include parts of both Warren and McKean counties. This is where we call home, and when it is placed in conjunction with our neighbors to the north, to include Chautauqua and Cattaragus Counties in New York, we have the best MOUNTAIN BIKING in the eastern great lakes region!
